Reports to: Sales Director
An exciting opportunity has arisen at WaterWipes for a National Account Manager (NAM), with responsibility for the Pharmacy, Convenience and High Street Discounters in the UK. Additionally, the position also covers the Irish Pharmacy channel.
The key priority is delivering execution excellence with existing and new customers in these sectors to achieve all internal commercial, financial and brand KPIs. We also believe that Away from Home usage is a key priority for the region and has great growth potential in 2025 so this role would be responsible for developing and expanding in this area.
Furthermore, the role holder is responsible for developing and managing external and internal cross-functional relationships.
Significant experience in managing large-scale UK in this channel in a fast-paced FMCG environment is required to be considered for the role, having similar Irish experience in these Sales Channel would be advantageous but not a requirement. Additionally, a track record of creating growth and managing negotiations through joint business partnering is required.
Role Deliverables:
- Deliver WaterWipes customer NSV/profitability targets & brand plans
- Drive vertical distribution targets to increase range, space & distribution
- Work closely with the customer marketing manager to execute value-adding trade investment & promotional strategy
- Develop and deliver execution of all WaterWipes NPD and core range initiatives in line with internal expectations and targets
- Manage JBP negotiations with Customers
- Drive KPIs with field sales agency in accordance with a customer portfolio
- Manage distributors within designated channels
- Manage and develop cross-functional relationships both internally and externally: Finance business partners, Shopper marketing, Category management & Insights, Supply Chain, Marketing and Credit Control.
- Execute Omnichannel strategy across base products and NPD
- Project management & engagement skills
Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, sales, or related field
- Commercial experience of managing large scale UK retailers
- 5+ years’ experience in FMCG industry
- Strong understanding of customers, channels and markets previously managed & examples of contributing to growth and having positive results
- Proven experience in negotiating terms/investment over several years
- Will have demonstrated strong people management & development
- An understanding of margins, forecasting, demand planning & course correction
- Experience in managing distributors
- Proven history in exceeding new business targets and objectives
- Excellent communication, time management, organisation and presentation skills
- Versatile, self-motivated and results driven
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships
- Strong computer skills, including MS Office Suite applications, sales databases, and web applications.
