Business Development Manager
Role overview:
Business Development Manager (France Pharma & other Channels)
Location: France (Northwest)
The BD Manager will be responsible for executing the commercial strategy with the pharma distributor in France and to develop our business in new channels in France such as sports stores, Petrol stations, Kiosks.
A big part of this strategy is related to a significant increase in physical availability, an extension of the portfolio, new listings, follow-up of in-store execution. With an ambitious growth plan in place, this role will be given the autonomy and accountability to give substance to the commercial objectives and strategy.
Key responsibilities:
- Deploy WaterWipes category vision in pharma France
- Implement the hybrid model with our French pharma distributor by increasing our network with key customers
- Increase our numeric and weighted distribution in Pharma France
- List new products with existing customers
- Develop new channels in France for our brand (Kiosks, catering, duty free, petrol stations, elderly, kindergartens, sports stores…)
- Ensure accurate and timely forecasting of sales within standard procedures, as well as in-market stock levels and ordering pipeline.
- Develop WW’s network at all levels in France.
- Work closely with the various WaterWipes functions to develop the business and execute the sales strategy.
- Strategic account management: Identify and develop new business opportunities in France.
- Manage the day-to-day WaterWipes business by working in synergy with our partners.
- Take charge and follow up on marketing activities by collaborating with the brand activation team.
- Analysing the performance and building a strong action plan to develop the sales.
- Monitoring and reporting competition and market intel.
- Bring relevant shopper and category insights and shape them into actionable in-store executions and activities.
- Leverage business analytics to influence customer and company decision-making at top-to-top levels, utilizing internal/customer business systems.
About you:
You should demonstrate a clear ability to develop opportunities into high-performing, profitable sales streams. You should also be able to build and grow sales relationships with internal and external stakeholders, project team members and management leaders. The ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic organisation is essential. You should be motivated by spending time with customers and develop strong relationships with distributors & partners.
Key Requirements:
- A relevant third-level education and over 5 years of experience.
- In-depth knowledge of the French pharma market.
- Appreciated experience in the FMCG industry and sales.
- Excellent skills in communication, time management, organization, and presentation.
- Strong commercial acumen and negotiation abilities.
- Versatile, self-motivated, and driven by customer and results.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships.
- Willingness to spend time in the field to develop WaterWipes’ network and coach the sales force.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, sales databases, and web applications.
- Fluent in both French and English.
