Associate Sales Manager
Role Overview:
As Associate Sales Manager, reporting to the Food, Drug, Dollar Director, you will lead the go-to-market strategy to drive growth and profitability across key retail partners. This role is central to achieving WaterWipes’ commercial objectives by leveraging customer insights, building strategic Joint Business Plans (JBPs), and delivering value through data-driven, customer-centric solutions.
You will collaborate closely with the North American team to unlock opportunities across retailers, categories, and formats. Success in this role requires a strong sense of ownership, agility, and a commitment to WaterWipes’ values—acting with integrity, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation to deliver meaningful results for our customers and our business.
Key Deliverables
- Support the development of go-to-market strategies that drive sales, market share, and profitability, contributing ideas and insights that reflect a strong understanding of the category and customer needs.
- Assist in the execution and evaluation of channel plans, working closely with senior team members to ensure alignment with business goals.
- Help grow existing accounts by supporting product listing expansions and coordinating promotional activities that meet agreed targets.
- Contribute to the development of new accounts by preparing proposals, gathering insights, and supporting listing negotiations.
- Monitor sales performance and support reporting activities, helping to track progress against plans and identify areas for improvement.
- Assist in managing pricing, product mix, and promotional execution, learning to balance commercial objectives with customer needs.
- Collaborate with Brand and Shopper Marketing Managers to support marketing initiatives that drive consumer engagement and sales.
- Work with internal teams such as Category Management and Supply Chain to ensure smooth execution of plans and customer satisfaction.
- Attend customer meetings, trade events, and market visits to gather insights and share observations with the team.
- Communicate trends and opportunities clearly and professionally, contributing to team discussions and planning.
- Use available tools and data to support business analysis, helping to inform decisions and improve commercial outcomes.
- Assist in maintaining customer scorecards and dashboards to monitor performance and support continuous improvement.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in the Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry; experience in the food channel is a strong advantage.
- Proven track record of exceeding sales targets and contributing to business growth in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication, time management, organisational, and presentation skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders.
- Demonstrated commercial acumen and negotiation skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented, with a proactive mindset and a willingness to take ownership.
- Flexibility to travel (approximately 30% expected), with a commitment to building strong customer relationships.
