We are looking for an NPI Project Manager to take clear, end‑to‑end technical ownership of new and revised products from initial concept through development, trials, validation, and right‑first‑time production.

As our innovation agenda expands, this role brings single‑point accountability to technical delivery. You will sit at the centre of product, packaging, manufacturing, quality, and suppliers, translating commercial ambition into robust, compliant, manufacturable solutions.

This is a hands‑on role for someone who wants ownership, influence, and the opportunity to reduce technical risk, accelerate launches, and shape how products are brought to life at scale.

What You Will Be Accountable For

Owning the full technical delivery of NPI projects, from concept approval through launch and post‑launch review
Translating commercial briefs into clear technical requirements, specifications, timelines, and plans
Leading technical decision‑making across product and packaging, including corrugated substrates and flexible films
Planning and leading development trials, factory trials, scale‑up, and first production runs
Identifying and managing technical risk, dependencies, and change control
Ensuring products and packaging are technically feasible, validated, and manufacturable at scale
Leading technical engagement with suppliers, from development through qualification
Working cross‑functionally with R&D, Packaging, Manufacturing, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Supply Chain
Capturing technical learnings post‑launch and feeding them back into better NPI ways of working

Who This Role Is For

This role is for someone who will act as the technical owner of NPI projects, taking responsibility for translating commercial briefs into validated, manufacturable product and packaging solutions through trials, scale‑up, and first production.

An experienced technical professional who takes full ownership of end‑to‑end NPI delivery
Comfortable making technical decisions in complex, cross‑functional environments
Structured in approach, able to balance pace with technical rigour from concept through scale‑up
Energised by working at the interface of product, packaging, and manufacturing
Credible partner to engineers, technologists, quality teams, and suppliers
Able to translate commercial ambition into robust, compliant, manufacturable solutions
Personally invested in getting launches right, technically sound, production‑ready, and right first time

You must have:

5+ years’ experience in technical NPI, packaging development, or technical product development within FMCG or manufacturing environments
Proven experience in owning the technical delivery of NPI projects end‑to‑end
Hands‑on involvement in development trials, factory trials, and scale‑up activities
Strong technical understanding of packaging and manufacturing constraints
The ability to manage technical risk, dependencies, and change within regulated environments
A clear sense of accountability for decisions, outcomes, and launch performance

Structured and resilient approach to delivery, staying organised and focused while managing multiple workstreams, risks, and dependencies
Sound technical judgement developed through 5+ years’ experience delivering NPI, packaging, or product development projects in FMCG or manufacturing environments
Hands‑on experience working through ambiguity, using data from trials, validation, and scale‑up to drive timely, well‑reasoned decisions
Strong collaboration skills when working with suppliers, balancing partnership, challenge, and performance expectations
Natural focus on learning and improvement, capturing post‑launch insights to strengthen future NPI delivery
